David Vallone is an antique furniture restorer and dealer with more than 40 years of experience. After many successful years in Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida, he has returned to Buffalo, New York, where his restoration career began in the early 1980s.
David specializes in the historically accurate preservation and restoration of 18th- and 19th-century period furniture, fine decorative arts, and antiques. His work emphasizes preserving original materials, construction, finishes, character, and historical integrity.
He accepts a limited number of projects at a time to provide personal attention and meticulous craftsmanship. Services include structural and finish restoration, custom reproductions, replacement components, and challenging or unusual projects. He also works with antique dealers, interior designers, and insurance companies on restoration and damage claims. On-site maintenance, including cleaning, waxing, minor repairs, and touch-ups, is available.
David’s approach is based on traditional craftsmanship, historical accuracy, careful research, honesty, and respect for every piece entrusted to him. He strives to preserve each object’s character and integrity rather than unnecessarily modernizing it.
He also maintains an evolving collection of 18th- and 19th-century American and European antique furniture for sale. David currently serves clients throughout Buffalo and Western New York and welcomes distinctive and challenging restoration projects.
