Bio

After many successful years in Florida serving the Sarasota/Bradenton area, I’m excited to announce that my antique restoration and antique furniture retail business has returned home to the Buffalo, New York area. Buffalo has always held a special place in my heart, and it feels right to bring my work back to where it all began in the early years of the 1980s.

At David Vallone Restorations, we specialize in the historically accurate preservation and restoration of 18th- and 19th-century period furniture, as well as other fine decorative arts and antiques.

Unlike a production shop, I take on only a select number of projects at a time to ensure each client receives the personal attention and craftsmanship their pieces deserve. Most projects are completed within 30 to 60 days from the start date, depending on the scope of work involved. While the business has become more specialized and scaled down from the larger operation I maintained in Buffalo in the early years, I continue to welcome unique, challenging, and unusual restoration projects.

In addition to restoration work, we also fabricate a wide variety of custom antique reproductions and replacement pieces tailored to your needs. I frequently work with antique dealers, interior designers, and insurance companies to assist with restoration and damage claims resulting from moves, accidents, or other circumstances. Every project is approached with meticulous attention to detail to ensure the work is completed correctly the first time.

I also continue to offer on-site maintenance services for clients who prefer their pieces remain in their homes. These visits may include cleaning, waxing, minor repairs, and touch-ups. Over the years, this has become a valued service appreciated by many long-time clients.

With more than forty years of experience in the antiques business, you can feel confident knowing your furniture and treasured pieces will be handled with exceptional care, knowledge, and respect. My reputation has always been built on quality workmanship, honesty, and dedication to preserving the integrity of every piece entrusted to me.

We also maintain an extensive and continually updated collection of 18th- and 19th-century American and European antique furniture available for sale. Please note that a link to our Ruby Lane shop can be found on the website.

I look forward to continuing to provide the same careful, detailed restoration services for your cherished antiques—now once again from my new (and old) home base in Western New York. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the years. I’m excited to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new clients in the Buffalo and Western New York area.

Please feel free to contact me for a private consultation regarding any restoration projects you may have. References are gladly available upon request.

Sincerely,

David Vallone
